Just for those still wondering, the piece is Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto
No.1 in G minor. (The whole thing, not just the first movement as some have
suggested).

My guess is that it was sequenced from a two-piano arrangement as the opening
tremoli are done as they would be on a piano and not on strings.
